Little TASTE
Tuesday 5 November
Join us for a night of bold and outrageous live performances from rising ESEA queer talent, including comedy, drag, visual art, live DJing, and exclusive cocktails at the Looking Glass Cocktail Club on Tuesday, 5th November.
The one and only Jacqui Bardelang, aka Sigi Moonlight, will be hosting our queer ESEA scratch night.
As the Grandfather of the Pan-Asian cabaret collective The Bitten Peach and Pecs Kings, Sigi Moonlight is a globally renowned drag king and host, with appearances on BBC3, Netflix, and performances at Glastonbury, Shakespeare’s Globe, and Underbelly Festival. Sigi mixes suave boylesque with outrageous comedy and politics—so bold, he was even banned from performing in Canada.
On the line up:
Mild Peril
Silly, stupid, satirical and 'too sarcastic' (according to one middle school teacher), Mild Peril is a drag jester who does jokes about being Asian, trans, and seeing Star Wars way too many times. They are also creator and host of alternative all-Asian drag cabaret 101 Damn Asians, and finalist of Lipsync1000 and Not Another Drag Competition.
Shannon Ong
Shannon Ong is a Singaporean-born actor who’s just graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama under the BA Acting CDT course. She also dabbles in writing and stand-up comedy and is an alumnus of the SOHO Theatre Writers' Lab and New Earth Theatre Writers' Academy. She is currently participating in a comedy development lab by MilkTea supported by the BBC.
Matt Tam
Matt Tam is a singer and drag performer based in London, originally from Hong Kong. He has performed in cabaret shows and concerts at the Union Theatre, Shoreditch Town Hall, The Divine, Royal Vauxhall Tavern and Scala London.
Jash Yuan
Jash (Liangqing Yuan, b.1994, Shanghai) is an artist working across moving image, photography, text, print, installation, performance, event art and everything in between. Recently in London.
Questioning the boundaries of established cognition and patterns of behaviors is at the core of Jash's practice. She works in the process of exploring her sense of identity, in the art world, in her unrooted life, and in the queer community.
DJ Set
London-based shane aka Daebak will be spinning, mixing an eclectic range of electro, ranging from breaks/bass to club remixes. Her multi-genre blends are ones to remember!
